Overview

Kushma is a municipality of Parbat District in Nepal. This city lies in the western part of Nepal just about 57 km from one of the famous cities of Nepal, Pokhara. Kushma falls under the Western Development Region and Dhaulagiri Zone of Nepal. It seats in the inclined narrow strip on the top of two river banks, Kaligandaki and Modi. It is located at 28°13'06N 83°40'45E at an altitude of 1294 meters.


Kushma has come into focus as the Second Highest Bungee Jumping Site in the world and in a matter of short time, it has become the most visited site by internal tourists in Nepal. Kushma Bungee Jump is the world’s second-highest bungee jump with a height of 228 Meters. It is located in the Gorge of Kaligandaki River and is the world's first natural canon bungee jump.


It came into operation on 31st Oct 2020 amid a Covid-19 pandemic. Bungee jumping is done above the Kaligandaki Gorge, from a long suspension bridge of 520m, connecting Kushma-Parvat, and Balewa of Baglung. The height of the Bungee Jumping is 228 m, which has made it the Second highest natural Bungee Jumping Site in the World and the highest Bungee jumping site in Asia making it a bungee jumping Paradise.


Kushma Bungee Footbridge is the fourth and most spectacular high-level footbridge in the mountainous tourist city of Parbat. The massive main span of about 520 meters is similar in design to Russia's Sochi AJ Hackett Skybridge Bungy site with a walkway suspended 3 meters below 8 parallel steel cables.


Bungee jumping in Kushma can be done around the year, however, some months are suitable for only sight scenes and some are not so convenient for the adventure seeker. Normally, the monsoon season is considered as the least suitable for the jump, which starts in June and lasts until August. The remaining seasons like summer, spring, and winter are the most suitable for Bungee jumping in Kushma.
Jumping from the world’s second-highest Bungee Jumping Site and experiencing free fall above the beautiful Kali Gandaki gorge, which acts as the midpoint between the famous trekking regions, Annapurna reason trekking, and the Dhaulagiri region is in itself the most adventurous experience. 


In Vanuatu Bungee jumping/ land diving is an ancient ritual in which young men jump from tall wooden platforms with vines tied to their ankles as a test of their courage and passage into manhood. Unlike in modern bungee-jumping, land-divers intentionally hit the ground, but the vines absorb sufficient force to make the impact non-lethal. Organized commercial bungee jumping had begun with the New Zealander, A J Hackett, who made his first jump from Auckland's Greenhithe Bridge in 1986. Bungee jumping has come a long way from the vines tied to ankles and being arrested for bungee jumping. Kushma bungee jumping located in the Himalayan country in a sense will not be wrong to say is a tribute to all the Bravehearts who have dared to freefall worldwide.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policies are applicable under the following scenarios: 

1. If cancelled by the Company:

 

The company reserves the right to cancel a tour in any circumstances. The company will not cancel a tour less than 30 days before the start date of the tour except for force majeure or failure on the client’s part to make all due payments or if the client fails to comply with any requirements of the booking conditions. 

 

If the Company has to cancel, you will be informed as soon as possible. 

 

If there is time to do so before departure and the cancellation does not result from your failure, then the Company will offer you a choice to purchase an alternative tour as a result of consolidation or another available tour offered by the company. In either case, paying or receiving a refund in respect of difference in price or receiving a full refund of all monies paid to the Company. 

It is advisable to only book fully flexible transport and other arrangements which can be cancelled or changed without charges, as the Company is not liable to pay the Client any cancellation, amendment or other changes the Client may need to make as a result of the cancellation of the tour. 

As a minimum, the Company, where compensation is due will pay a compensation of USD 100 per confirmed passenger. The Company is not liable for compensation if the booking is cancelled as a result of force majeure. 

 

2. If Cancelled by the Clients 

 

Clients have the option to cancel their booking as per the following policies of the Company: 

  • 10% of the advanced payment will be retained by the Company if cancellation is done 30 days prior to the start date of the tour. 
  • 50% of the advanced payment will be retained by the Company if cancellation is done 2 to 3 days prior to the start date of the tour. 
  • 100% of the advanced payment is retained by the Company is the cancellation is done less than 2 days before the start of the tour date. 

 

In case of non-payment of the remaining balance before the due date, the Company reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled and 100% of the advanced payment will be retained as a cancellation charge by the Company.
