Thinking of Paragliding? It is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft. The pilot sits in a harness or lies supine in a cocoon-like 'speed bag' suspended below a fabric wing. So if you are thinking of Paragliding, it is a great choice. Despite not using an engine, paraglider flights can last many hours and cover many hundreds of kilometers, though such flights are not the norm.

 

Paragliding is one of the most preferred adventure sports in Nepal. The main area for paragliding in Nepal is Pokhara valley, commanding views of three of the world's 8000m peaks with friendly and constant conditions for your paragliding holiday. At an altitude of 800m Pokhara generally having clear and sunny skies allows consistent and friendly conditions for paragliding.

 

Paragliding in Pokhara gives an opportunity for an aerial view of the Himalayas. A trip will take you over some of the best picturesque scenery on earth, as you glide along with eagles, beautiful Himalayan birds, Himalayan griffin vultures and fly above the colorful clusters of stunning villages, monasteries, temples, lakes, forests with a paranomic and fantastic view of the majestic Himalaya.

Paragliding is a weather-dependent sport and the flying season in Pokhara commences from September through May, the best months being September to December and February to May. There are various deals for paragliding, both for veterans and novices.


Introduction course of Three-day is offered to beginners. Tandem flights where one can fly with the instructor are also offered. Several companies are operating commercial tandem flights in Pokhara. Pokhara is the place where you can start your first paragliding experience.

 

Paragliding is operated with safety and with internationally certified pilots. A single flight will change your outlook on life and the scenery is breathtaking. Day 1 - Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara

    After flying from Kathmandu, at Pokhara Airport gate Hotel Vehicle will be waiting for the guest.

    After reaching Pokhara, the guest will have their own time to roam around the city and lakeside.

Day 2 - Paragliding and Return Back to Kathmandu

    Breakfast at the hotel and Get ready for Paragliding.

    We will do paragliding with Flying Buddha as our Paragliding Partner.

  • Vehicle Drop

    Drop back to Lakeside, Hotel and some Free time before departing back to Kathmandu.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policies are applicable under the following scenarios: 

1. If cancelled by the Company:

 

The company reserves the right to cancel a tour in any circumstances. The company will not cancel a tour less than 30 days before the start date of the tour except for force majeure or failure on the client’s part to make all due payments or if the client fails to comply with any requirements of the booking conditions. 

 

If the Company has to cancel, you will be informed as soon as possible. 

 

If there is time to do so before departure and the cancellation does not result from your failure, then the Company will offer you a choice to purchase an alternative tour as a result of consolidation or another available tour offered by the company. In either case, paying or receiving a refund in respect of difference in price or receiving a full refund of all monies paid to the Company. 

It is advisable to only book fully flexible transport and other arrangements which can be cancelled or changed without charges, as the Company is not liable to pay the Client any cancellation, amendment or other changes the Client may need to make as a result of the cancellation of the tour. 

As a minimum, the Company, where compensation is due will pay a compensation of USD 100 per confirmed passenger. The Company is not liable for compensation if the booking is cancelled as a result of force majeure. 

 

2. If Cancelled by the Clients 

 

Clients have the option to cancel their booking as per the following policies of the Company: 

  • 10% of the advanced payment will be retained by the Company if cancellation is done 30 days prior to the start date of the tour. 
  • 50% of the advanced payment will be retained by the Company if cancellation is done 2 to 3 days prior to the start date of the tour. 
  • 100% of the advanced payment is retained by the Company is the cancellation is done less than 2 days before the start of the tour date. 

 

In case of non-payment of the remaining balance before the due date, the Company reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled and 100% of the advanced payment will be retained as a cancellation charge by the Company.
